Mechanic Addon Packages

Does anyone know if there are (or plan to be) any type of Mechanic Addon Modules
for any of the racing games such as NASCAR, INDY, F1.

It would be very useful (and cool) to have ACTUAL car sets as they are spec'd by
each teams' mechanics.  These games have become so accurate that you cannot even
keep up with the rest of the pack with an outta-the-box car setup and you have
to be a professional mechanic to figure out how to setup one of these cars.

I would gladly pay $20-30 for a CD addon with car presets - especially if they
were offically spec'd by the actual mechanics.  Anybody else agree?  How do we
initiate such a product if one doesn't already exist?

Most of the setups require some minor adjustment.  The problem would be that
everyone's driving style is just a little bit different.  For instance my
racing buddy Steve has a couple awesome setups that I've tried,  he drives his
cars much tighter than I do so I wind up smaking a wall or having low speeds
because I can't turn it.  The same is true for the inverse.  I've given him a
couple of my setups and he loops the car almost every time.  It's just to loose
for his style.  Both of us are able to blow away the field at 100% at some
tracks. at a track I can't I'll try his setup where he is running away and I'll
wind up going back to work on mine.  I'm sure you get the point.
As for some pro team setups-- forget it!  Those are well kept trade secrets,
not to mention the many variables that even the best sim does not account for.
Then throw in the style difference and your right back where you started, minus
the $20-$30 bucks for the program.

So with all that said-- Practice, read up on info from the various www sites
and tweak and practice some more.

Happy hunting
