Why is everyone so concerned about a speedometer, real race cars dont
have them? Thats why you have a tach and a spotter to tell you when you
are close to speeding in the pits.

But not everyone that plays NASCAR 2 will want to drive 'like the
pros'.  They just want a speedometer because, for them, it makes the
sim driveable.  Not everyone can get along without one.

Besides, I haven't heard anything about the spotter telling you how
fast you're going in the pits.  How could he tell, anway?  I know in
real life the crew chief reminds the driver of the maximum rev number
to stay below to avoid speeding.

In the demo the crewchief/spotter will tell you when you are close to
speeding in pitlane, try speeding up slowly and you'll hear him.
As for not everyone wanting to drive like the pros, there will be a
speedometer in the release version.

In my copy of the demo the instruments are very readable, either mine is
different or something, I wonder if it could have anything to do with
the monitor, I have a 17" CTX.
