This is absolutely correct. It is a DOS game. It doesn't use DirectX
and will not even take advantage of your 3Dfx card, so don't expect
stellar graphics (although they were top-notch when the game was new.)
But the cars are great, the gameplay is excellent, and after all, it
is the granddaddy of a great series of racing games!
