DTR - believe it or not

I will buy it, yes, sure will. It's good to know that you can have a
dissenting voice here. I'm glad to be able to raise my concerns and be
heard. Sure I got slammed but that's ok. My style gets out of hand
sometimes, I have never liked Don's hype, and I've never been good at
diplomacy. Then again, I'm not running for president of the racing sim
world.

So, there are things I don't like about it. What the hell, I'll buy the
full release version to see if it suits me. If it doesn't, I'll just
take it back to EB. EB will sell it, right? I imagine DTR could be a
nice change of pace from GPL, N3, NL, GP500, SBK, SCGT, etc.

Here's what I will be looking for in/after the full release:

1. high level of support from the developer, patches in a reasonable
time frame, etc.

2. a fix for the multiplayer scoring inconsistencies.

3. a fix for the slow mo, super speed thing in multiplayer

4. more difficulty

5. some third party dashes/cockpits

>2. a fix for the multiplayer scoring inconsistencies.

Also, warp, when it occurs is brutal in DTR.  It seems to take 2 points and
connect them and then extrapolate.  And if that means that your car is 30 feet
off the ground going backwards at 800 miles an hour, then that's what it shows.

I've also seen where a car will be going backwards the wrong way on the track,
for say, 100 yards.  Then, it will jump ahead 200 yards and do it again.  All
the way around the track.  This makes it impossible to pass because once you
get up there you get nailed by this car and you're out of the race.

They need to fix this, it's making many internet games unplayable.  It only
takes one warpy player to make the race unplayable.  Maybe just turn the car
off if it's doing something unreasonable.  Like in GPL where a car will wink in
and out.  It still kind of sucks but it's better than the 1000 MPH flying car
syndrome we have now.
