I recently posted wondering what the setup-options in GPL would be.
Now after racing N2 for a couple more hours, here's what I propose to
*increase* realism..in GPL as well as N3:)
-the F4 tire temp function must be redesigned: I'd enjoy to have this
function like in real life: you'd have to pit for the crew to
measure...the current "telemetry" function could be an *arcade*
option:))
-keep those wheels on the cars!! Methinks it looks quite pottey when the
AIs race away after a smash with left-side wheels only. If they, or the
player, lose a wheel, hit da tow truck. Simulate a flat or damaged wheel
by having it at a weird angle, trailing smoke, not rolling etc..much
more realistic! Anyway, can't remember the last time I saw a NASCAR lose
a wheel crashing (without doing a complete talladega-rusty-wallace,
which you can't do in N2 anyhow..)
I know a lot has been changed for GPL, but I hope Papyrus are still
Papyrus, then we'll know what we get.
The Monza AVI looks amazing, the car physics are obviously great, even
my dad who saw those guys live and *hates* computer sims said "well, you
see, that's how it was...".
Nice touch too, on the heel-and-toe downshifting sounds, now all I have
to do is to build a "classic" wheel & pedal set..::))
Can't wait..
