Hi all,

I won't repeat it here as it's in the topic <grin> but I'm not too
knowledgable about this stuff and want to be sure all's going to work
ok.  I finally bought a Microsoft Sidewinder force-feedback wheel.  Will
this be compatible with my game port?  I have a 450mhz PII with 128mb
RAM bought in Sept. 1998.  Thanks.

Should think so Gary... make sure you get the latest sidewinder software
from MS tho'. I read something about a DirectX7 issue a while back.

Sure thing Gary.
Just plug it in and away you go. I am assuming you have the earlier version
though.

The best I've read recently (no offence Gary) was a posting on
alt.autos.porsche the other day.  Some fellow wanted our opinion on the
Tiptronic transmission (the automatic with pushbuttons).  Why did he want an
opinion?  Because he had *already ordered* a new Boxster.  And he hadn't
taken it for a test-drive!  He wanted to know, basically, if the $50,000 car
he had bought was ok.  Amazing....
