GP2 - qracelen utility

I have downloaded from a site a utility that is supposed to alter the
number of laps in a Quick Race - qracelen. It effectively does alter
the number of laps but the game still has enough fuel for its initial
number of laps, whereas all the computer controlled cars have their
correct fuel load. For instance in Monza I have 8 laps to go with 5
laps worth of fuel, whereas the other cars all have 8 laps of fuel. Am
I doing anything wrong, is the program buggy, is there a fix ?

The program isn`t buggy (if you are referring to Strobe`s utility).  I
think the problem arises because even if you select "decide stop
srategy before race" the dialogue doesn`t come up before a quickrace.
If I remeber correctly you need to select "use setup" from the drive
options and then make sure the setup specifies no stops.

In your car setup screen in practice any circuit check race setup and
no pit stops. Then exit to drive menu and click quick race and the
same circuit. It will load that setup. That worked for me and gives me
about 1 1/2 laps more than it needs to run a 51%  race on the 3
circuits I've tried it on [Monza, Spa, Brazil]. However, in my
experience the computer cars do pit once. Since I almost always crash
sometime before 51% or go off in the tulies so many times I get so far
behind I get frustrated and start over I rarely make it to the finish
but I have and it does give you a full fuel load. By the way. Going
off isn't always my fault. Does anybody else have the computer cars
making bonzai late braking manuvers all the time and knocking you off
while they then go on merrily about their way while you slide off into
the sand or guardrail? Pisses me off big time. It happens way too
often.
