I suppose it is *much* to late for them to remove the Renault engines
from GP2 before its release ;-)

Hopefully GP2 will be released before the end of the 1997 F1
season when Renault will be pulling out!

If the game is released on Fri 12th - i.e. British GP weekend -
it'll be interesting to compare the Silverstone track in the game
with the current real layout.

It won't be the same anyway.... the 1994 layout as simulated in GP2 is
different to the current layout.  In '94 post - Senna/Ratzy deaths
Silverstone changed the circuit by modfying Copse, so a slower corner,
Stowe was also modified to make it an earlier turn-in and make it into
a sharper right hand bend unlike the sweeping right-hand swing a la
GP1.
The new left, right, left chicane between Club and Bridge was also
added.  These corners will be present on the GP2 game.

But this year, Silverstone announced some more changes, many of the
drivers had complained that Silverstone had been wrecked and that the
track wasn't any good anymore.
So since the start of the club racing season they've been ripping up
the circuit yet again.  Stowe has been the culprit, they have changed
it back to a similar layout to pre-94, except the dip down into the
Vale isn't quite the same.  They will also be modifying the Copse
corner to make it back to the fast 5th/6th fast corner it once was,
with more run-off than before.

So, hopefully with the promised "update pack" that Geoff will have
started on to update to 1996/97 we will get these changes (and those
changes to other circuits such as removing the sweeps on the long
straight at Montreal).
