Indy Road Races

I just started playing INDYCAR Racing and I have been able to set my
car up to win speedway races, but I have had absolutely no luck setting
up for road races. My car is too slow and doesn't handle very well.
I oval tracks my car is 20mph faster than 2nd place, yet on road tracks
my car is 30sec's slower than last place in qualifying.

Does anyone have some tips as to how to adjust the cars settings for road
races? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Ravi Kartha.

PS. If anyone has more info on the INDYCAR 2.0 coming up please let me
know. Can you just buy an update disk, or is it a completely new game.

Tons of hints/replays/track maps with speeds in each corner/etc. at the
official IICC web site maintained by Peter Burke (the IICC director):

Start off by racing on the Long Beach circuit - it's the easiest. Then
move on to Toronto. Laguna Seca is the next hardest and Portland the
hardest of all. (For those of us who don't have the track pack!)

On Long Beach, don't go into the corners faster than 50 mph to start with
and try reducing the amount of rear wing. That might help you get around the
circuit.

I have found that setting the camber so the wheels tilt in (sometimes
quite a large amount) helps grip in the corners.

Funny, Scott Brayton seems to have the same problem. Just keep practising
and use manual braking and shifting.
