On channel 10 they just showed a summary of the three races held at adelade
this year with gpl era F1 cars. Some very nice shots to see and hear these
cars in action. Also some really great in car footage of Jack Brabham
giveing a McLaren a whirls, sadly as with all in car shots it didnt last
long enough. Hopefully there will be a video of this even released with
longer footage and it was also mentioned that the organisers hope to do it
again next year with even better organisation and more cars!

Guys,

I was there. If you ever get the chance to go and see these cars in action,
do it.
The Loti, Ferrari, BRM  sounded awesome. During the event you were allowed
into the pit area for photo's, etc.

For GPL fans, for cars further back in the field:
No 11 was the BRM H16 (1966)
No 23 was a Brabham BT23A (1967)
No 6 was a Ferrari 312/V12 (1969).

Jack Brabham was driving No 19 - a 1968 Mclaren M5A BRM V12.

As a matter of interest, that Brabham is not an true F1 car, but a 2.5
litre version that was run in the Tasman series of the era. Saw it run
at the Geelong Speed Trials, owned by the late Bib Stilwell.

The word "spelled" is an americanism.  Anywhere is and the word is
"spelt".

Just like when somebody fells a tree, they felt it.
Or when somebody quells an uprising, they quelt it.

Whoever said that the rules of the "english" language always made sense.
Shame really. :-(  Mind you here am I getting on my high horse and I
can't even get 2 sentences correct.  The word after "Anywhere" should be
"else"... doh!
