Why haven't they split ICR2demo into smaller parts?

Why haven't they split ICR2demo into smaller parts?

Why haven't they done that???
It would have been much safer. Personnaly, I sometimes get
disconnected and I may never get to download the whole 6.9 Meg file in
one go. Do ftp tranfers allow to continue an aborted download like
Zmodem protocol on BBSs does?

If someone splits that huge file and posts it on a ftp I would like to
know where. The closest to Belgium, the better. A very kind person
could also email it directly to me or post it in a binary newsgroup.
In fact that would be really nice to many people out there waiting
just like me.

Thanks.

Okay I could get it. It took 1h40 min but it's worth the wait.

It's great and fast! I can't wait for the full version. Anyone has an
idea as to when it becomes available in Europe and especially Belgium?

Thanks.

Splitting IndyCar2 into smaller pieces is an excellent idea.  I belong to a
FreeNet that only has 14.4 and has a one hour time limit.  At best I can
download about 5.5 meg an hour, not enough for IndyCar2 which is 6.9 meg.  And
because of the way my FreeNet changes the file name everytime I download from
it to my PC, Zmodem treats it as a different file and does not concatinate to
the previous download.  Sorry for the long winded story, but just wanted to
provide a reason why splitting IndyCar2 into two 3.5 meg files would be
excellent.

If anybody knows of a place where it is split, could you please post the
location for all of us who would love to try the demo, but need it in smaller
pieces.

Thanks, Roman

Splitting IndyCar2 into several pieces is an excellent idea.  I subscribe to a
FreeNet that limits users to 14.4 and one hour per session.  The most I can
download is 5.5 meg.  Having IndyCar2 as two 3.5 meg files would be perfect.  I
anyone knows if this is available somewhere, could they please post the
location of where it is.

That happens to me to with my ISP. Luckily I was using Win95 DUN and
when I got disconnected it asked if I wanted to reconnect, reconnected
okay and WS_FTP just carried on!!! I was impressed.

Have to say though, this is the biggest single file I've EVER
downloaded from the Internet and boy was it worth it. Very playable
until the final release arrives.

Stuart.
