Take the thumb out of your*** before writing, buddy.

Lots of people download ALL newsgroups to read offline, saves
money if you pay by the minute.

Lots of servers KILL newsgroups with too many binary files
if it isn't a binary newsgroup.

Many people download all headers automatically for offline reading.

Sorry, I've never had to "pay by the minute". I guess under these
circumstances, even if I did, I wouldn't have a problem with 1 binary
file that takes 5 extra seconds to d/l. But whatever...............

That's correct, but if somebody posts a small binary, someone else may think
it's ok to post a larger binary, then another etc. Pretty soon we'd have
complete games being posted here and my phone bill would be equivalent to
the national debt ;) Thats if my ISP doesn't remove the group for carrying
binaries and I lose ras altogether.
I'm sure most people aren't particularly bothered about the odd image
creeping in, especially under the circumstances of this one :(
