ICR2 Patches

Does anyone know if there was a patch for ICR2 when it came to yellow flags?

I was racing last week when the yellow flag came out.  And all of the cars
slowed down to about 30mph, even though the pace car was well ahead of them.

In other words, they did not catch up to the lead pack.  Any help would be
appreciated.  Thanks.

I don't remember if there was a patch that speecifically fixed that
problem, but I do recall that there was a patch that had SOMETHING to do
with yellow flags.  Patch it up to version 1.2 and you should be good to go.
I've never had that problem before, and I'm running 1.2.

Normally when I see them going that slow it is because you are out of
sequence and they are waiting for you to take your rightful position...I
think.

There are no patches that fix that paticular problem, that I'm aware of.
Sierra's website has all the patches made for ICR2.  If you have CARt
Racing, then
all the patches are already done.   The main reason the cars are going slow
is that
the cpu thinks another car must be lined up ahead of them.   The only
solution I can
suggest is to pass them and try and drag the cars behind you past.  Possibly
this will
free up the cpu's brainfade.   Remember with Cart  Cars, they do NOT race
back to the
start finish line.   When the Yellow comes out, you slow down immeadiately.

After seeing the patch to make Indy Car II carset to GT cars, i reinstalled
ICR2... Man, its been along time since i played this.
Id recommend to you guys, like me, that upgrade to a new, faster, better PII
since the ICR2 days to re-install this game again. You talk about fast
FPS!!! Wowee.. its almost like real time.. You pass cars at an unbeliveable
rate and the handling is very responsive.
It is amazing how this engine is almost ident to N2!! All commands are the
same and the graphics/handling/etc are almost ident. I think that
ICR2,N2,N99 are all but the same with new car sets and tweaks. Now that is a
long time engine life!

Hi Marc,

I'm still tuned to TSP for the new CART98 carset (the one with that
fantastic new carshape!)...  Don't let me down!
