| For only about the 2nd time,Zone Alarm has caught somebody trying to get
| into my computer via the cable connection. I find it more than
| coincidental that this attempt happens during what could be a very serious
| time world wide.
| I strongly suggest those with cable/DSL connections that are always on
to
| get some sort of firewall. They can be a pain, they consume resources,
but
| they might keep your system free from somebody trying to force your
computer
| to send thousands of pings at whatever target computer.

| I don't want to sound paranoid BUT: I have been using a firewall for a
year
| or more and have never gotten an alert. Yesterday and today I got over 60
| alerts and guess what? They all came from emirates.net.ae. Arab Emirate
| Republic. Coincedence? I think not.

I get about 30 per day, 65 plus on weekend days.
You should have a firewall anyway, but I don't think terrorists are
trying to delete your GPL replays. ;-)

You should worry more about not seeing any alarms for a year than 60 now....
Is that firewall working properly?
