Keeping Top Gear on the air

Keeping Top Gear on the air

There is now a petition online to stop the BBC having a knee jerk
reaction and banning Top Gear.

www.petitiononline.com/tg100/petition.html

There are groups, such as Transport 2000, who were looking to close this
down before Richard's accident as it is said to glamorise speed and
influence drivers "yobbish" behaviour on public roads.

If we can't let people distinguish between entertainment and reality,
where will this end? Banning all televised motorsport? How long before
racing sims are tarnished with the same brush?

If you would like to help ensure Top Gear does not get pulled by the BBC
due to influence from pressure groups then please sign the petition.

Cheers
Tony
