Sorry I am a pest!

i downloaded WinVROC through IE instead of netscape and it worked. I put
the "Fix" on it and I am still getting an error message about 2 minutes
after I am on! I dont get a race list but can see and participate in the
chat! The Error says!

            "VROC out of service"
WinVROC is currently not able to contact VROC, hence, the VROC portion
or WinVROC will be disabled untill the next time you restart WinVROC.
This may be caused by:
                                    Network error.
                                    The VROC server is down.
                                    Incorrect Proxy Settings.
I know the version that I have is current. It may be possiable that I am
not putting the fix in the right folder. I just put in the "vroc" folder
under "program files"!
I dont even know what PROXY is so that one is really stumping
me....thank you so much for any help or advice you might have for me!

Try using a VROC.INI file containing just the folowing:

[VROC]
Address=209.53.20.177

It should be in the "WinVROC" folder, inside the "VROC" folder.

If you don't know, you probably don't need it.

nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
