rFactor problem, again!

by Ronald Stoeh » Sat, 12 Jul 2008 02:38:07

Hi!

Ok, as Trymedia support is clueless (what a surprise! Last suggestion
was a link to the setup program. Thanks, I HAVE the sim installed,
dammit!) I used anybody's best friend: google and found a solution
that already worked for somebody in 2007.

As soon as I set my PC's date to 2009, rFactor works again! WTF?
It's working, but I really don't want to change the date everytime
before I start rF!?

Any ideas?

Ok worked out how to fix the problem go to your computer time and adjust it to a future
date a year or so ahead should do it. Now press ok and then go back into the clock and set
it to the actual date but dont press ok. Run rfactor and when the rfactor screen comes up
now click ok on the date. It should now allow you to run rfactor at the proper date.

There is probably an easy method than that but that way worked for me.

Holy crap, how did he find that workaround?
