Rookie question: tires

by jaoll.. » Tue, 30 Aug 1994 04:36:38

I'm new to ICR and this group.  I didn't see this mentioned in the FAQ or
(adequately) in the manual.

I'm running a soft compound on the LF tire, and it's still running too cold
(IMO)--like around 180 deg.--at New Hampshire.  I've got the pressure and
the camber worked out.  I've been messing with the shocks to throw more
of the cars' weight on the LF tire, figuring that would make it run hotter,
but it doesn't seem to help much.

Any suggestions?

You can have a dog for a friend and booze for a friend; but with a woman
for a friend you'll wind up drunk and kissing your dog.  (unknown)

For the Left Front, you've done the best you can... 180 is about right.
Unless you nit something with it, it'll never reach 200 if set up properly.
