Andy,
Well put. Besides... I think most of the whining is being done by individuals
who are spoiled by the easy of driving the sims on the market currently. From
someone who has racing experience..... GPL has a physics engine that is simply
incredible. NO.. I have not driven a GP car from the 60's =) (I wish)... but
I have driven a NASCAR Modified, SCCA Sport 2000, Spec Racer, GT-1 that was a
former TA car, and a few laps in a Formula Atlantic. Although I havent driven
in a few years and put on weight (cant fit in a Formula car anymore LOL),
driving a car with THAT much HP and no aerodynamics is no easy task. Also
remember that this demo is exactly that, a DEMO and once you get the full
version (if you do buy it) and can adjust the car,etc... you will see how great
this sim is going to be.
For the rest.... stick to the arcade games I guess. I cant wait for NASCAR 3
with this type of physics engine <VBG>
