NFSPURank?

NFSPURank?

Just wondering:

1) is there a "fair" ranking system or list anywhere? Seems silly to me
to have top times on the same track in different cars. Just wondering if
anyone has posted times for different vehicles anywhere, or seen it.

2) is there a way to honestly post/exchange replays to validate race
times?

3) if so, would is there any interest in NFSPURank?

Despite my feelings about "hot lap" competitions, I would love to see a
something like NFSPURank, especially if it was well-organized and gave
you a breakdown on vehicle type.

earacing.com stats server will be adding rankings for class1/class2/3 on the
different tracks for fairer comparison. Its coming soon.  Til then you can
look at these NFS5 records sites that I post my times to; the World Records
site has a link to a replay utility that allows you to view suspension
settings used in the replays available on the sites.  Validating race times
is done with screenshots, the replays don't contain this information, god
knows why not.

Some of us NFS5 drivers like competition but don't want to deal with the
various hassles of online racing, and one of the german NFS sites has set up
an excellent alternative.
This site http://game13.gamesmania.de/rundenrekorde.shtml
maintains a NFS5 records tournament that is very cool. What distinguishes it
from the Worlds Records site http://www.xs4all.nl/~eel/nfswr/index.html
is that they maintain player statistics and you get points for being in the
top ten times for each track and era. So you don't need THE best time to
enter, just a good one.

They have pages so you can see your standing in the given era, or your
overall ranking, similar to the EAracing rankings, but much less arbitrary
and fairer in the scoring method.

The pages are in german, but they understand english and I've sent in some
results myself. You just send them a zipfile with a screenshot of the time
and a replay (forward runs only btw, not backwards) and a textfile saying
what era, car, driver, time, etc you used (I use the textfile from the World
Records submission page so I can submit to both websites) and the different
pages are pretty self-explanatory. So give it a shot and have fun!   Use
babelfish.altavista.com  to translate any pages.
