Hi,

Since Nascar 2 came out, does anyone still use Nascar 1. I only have Nascar
1, and it is now hard to get some one to send me car setups for Nascar 1.
Are the setups for Nascar 1 and Nascar 2, the same or are they different. I
am just now getting back into racing because I just got a new computer that
is 10 times faster than my old one. The only problem is I have a Gravis
Gamepad and I can't seem to set my cars up. I have gone to Eric Busch and
his site has helped a little, but the speeds they said they get, I don't
even come close. I have a good smooth line through the tracks so I know
that is not the problem, I just can't get the car to go that fast. If
someone can help me with some setups, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

John O.

The game pad is no match for a steering wheel, and I'm sure Eric's setups
are for a wheel. I've done the keys, I've done the pad, I've done the
stick, and I'm now doing the wheel. There's no comparison.  Going from
pad to stick, expect 1 or 2 mph increase(after some tweaking) and then
another couple mph more for a wheel (after some teaking).

You'll be amazed how much more smoothness you can achieve with analog
steering, accel, and brakes.

Try my setups at:

www.iquest.com/~pdotson

You'll also find GP2 and ICR2 setups.  The Nascar1 setups were developed
for Multi.exe and will be too loose in the regular program so you'll
need to tighten them up a bit.  Just move some weight toward the front
of the car until it feels right.
