That's open wheel racin', m' boy!  It may be a bit exaggerated, but
the physics are there to give us the impression of flight!  At least
you know when you've made "contact." :)

I thought this too at first, but next time you watch an F1 or IndyCar race,
notice how carefully the drivers keep the wheels of their cars apart.  After
the IndyCar race in Toronto, I don't know that the air express behavior of GP2
is exagerated at all....

Does anyone else think that the cars are just a bit *too* easy to launch
