It will take at least until 2009 for them to get this multiplayer ***they
have now any better.

Face it, they do not care, and they don't have to.  There are enough Dolts
out there that do not want to bother setting up a computer much less a car

arcade racer where they win every race and lead every lap.  Its another sad
day to hear this, can PFW keep up to further what we have?  Or will this
hobby/sport I love die do to capitalism at its finest?

Hopefully N2003 and it's users will be around for a long time... the same as how GPL has
survived.
The little kids can go play with their arcade boxes while the serious simmers will have
N2003 all to themselves.

LOL, capitalism was all there was to it.

NASCAR could license to the developer who would make the best quality
product that would have the longest term positive impact on the
sport/industry, or, sell to the highest bidder--EA.  Making decisions
seemingly with money as the only criteria is the definition of "economic
man" and rabid capitalism.

You can't make a Nascar sim if you can't get a license for it.

Makes you wonder if they really 'quit', or did they know they were going to lose
the contract to EA.

What are you talking about? Papy was talking about making GTA3 clones a year
before N2003 ever came out ... You think its taken EA a year and a half to
do this contract???

Isn't this announcement just an extension of an already exclusive
contract?  I thought an exclusive contract had been announced ages
ago.

I believe the previous "exclusive" was for consoles only, not PC

Personally I think this would be a great opp for Papy to do an AussieV8
sim !!!

Both those are correct, EA had got the exclusive for Consoles and Papy knew
it could not survive on PC only any longer.  This happened at least a year
ago now.

Then Papy announced the next venture was to start making cross platform
games for BOTH consoles and PC's, in order to be a viable thriving company
and be able to keep the doors open.  Papy did not give up or quit, good ole
capitolism forced them to do this in order to make what the majority of the
Walmart crowd NASCAR fan wants.

An Arcade game they can sit in front of the TV and play on there stupid PS2,
so they do not have to get of the couch.....they can lead every lap, wreck
every driver they don't like (read Jimmy Spencer), and still win the race by
a whole lap.  Thats what most Dolts want and they get with EA and there ***
GAMES.

I would not be surprised to see Papy make a PC version of whatever they are
working on and have some really cool unlockable stuff for us TRUE simulation
crowd, but I could be wrong they may not have the time allowed to do that.

Yeah, right.
And Papyrus/Sierra were in it for the benefit they were making to humankind
and NASCAR races have free access for the down-trodden masses.

Gimme a break!
The entire world is now based on capitalism.

Bruce.

You can make it you just can't sell it.

But why does anyone care if EA has the rights to the brand name if
there are better titles out there now?   Let them sell to the couch
potato market how does that hurt you?
