Hi All!

Well, first of all there's been LOADS of people wanting pictures of F1GP2, and
i hope most of them recieved them all OK!

Anyway, for everyone looking forward to the up and coming release of F1GP2 -
here's ANOTHER press release i've found!

======== World Circuit II ========

SPECTRUM HOLOBYTE ANNOUNCES THE FIRST TITLE IN ITS NEW RACING BRAND,
WORLD CIRCUIT II

ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT EXPO, Los Angeles, May 11, 1995 - Spectrum
HoloByte, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBYT), a leader in interactive entertainment
software for personal computers, introduces Geoff Crammond's World Circuit
II, the sequel to MicroProses highly acclaimed Formula One World Circuit.
World Circuit II will set new standards in high quality, ultra-realistic
racing simulations.

World Circuit II is a true simulation of the 1994 Grand Prix racing season
featuring realistically modeled, high-performance Formula One cars,
accurate driver information and finely detailed representations of Formula
One racing tracks such as Monaco, Silverstone and Hockenheim. Using highly
advanced texture-mapping and light-sourcing, the cars are exquisitely
detailed.  The use of specular reflection, a unique technique, makes the
cars appear as though they have just arrived from the showroomsparkling and
shining as they take to the circuitjust like the real thing!

World Circuit II has improved graphics and sound, and the artificial
intelligence has been upgraded to offer a greater challenge to the player.
Each Formula One driver has individual personality traits and displays
aggressive or passive driving, and consideration or impatience on the
track.  The cars now race in a full pitching and rolling environment where
curbing affects the performance of the car and certain tracks have banked
corners which affect speed and traction.

Game features include a one-lap replay option, 16 circuits, five skill
levels and the option of either a Quick race, Individual Grand Prix or Full
season.

=== Cut ===

I really can't wait anymore!! :-)

F1GP2 - again!

Hi Simon,

There's a whole load of new pictures now on the Microprose WWW site.
Try the following URL:

http://www.microprose.com/wc2ss.html

We noticed that there are some pictures on Microprose's site that
for some reason are *not* on the Web page.  So, my brother is about
to Telnet in to University to add an F1GP II preview page to his
Web pages.  This will have the recent interview from PC Format,
as well as links to all the pictures.

http://www.king.ac.uk/~k948959/gp2.htm

The graphics themselves (Footwork, Ligier, Jordan, Ferrari, Williams,
McLaren etc.) are absolutely out of this World.  They even make
Papyrus' graphics system look positively out of date.  If you
don't believe me take a look!
