F1GP Memories...

Hey Everyone...

I recently dusted off my old computer box and pulled out such old greats
as Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer, Wolfenstien 3D, Falcon 3.0,
and...World Circuit!

Oh, boy!  I popped in that CD (bought the CD version 'cause I thought it
had something extra) and played until 1:15am the next morning!  Think of
the pro's for WC (wait, not Winston Cup...) vs. Grand Prix 2.  Rain,
high frame rates, rain, rain, no tobacco censorship to worry about,
Ayrton Senna, rain, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Michael Schumacher the
Rookie, rain, U.S. Grand Prix...etc.  Even the special effects of
getting behind a speeding car in the rain and not being able to see with
all the spray.  Oooh, no 'plank' to worry about grinding the ***out
of!  And, hey, it's a damn fun game!  I think I've now realized, also
after playing Indy 500 again, that software producers need not worry
about SVGA graphics requiring a P200 to view, but the rush and
playability of hot games.

By the way, now a question.  I need to find a decent F1GP web center for
setups, pathces/utils, driver names (of course I can't remember them
all).  Someone please direct me to a site!

Have fun,
John Wilson :|:

P.S. - Yes, I occasionally hash GP2, and strongly support ICR2 and N2
(even though I don't have the latter), so anyone willing to question my
