Has anyone given the LanZone a try with N2? If not would anyone be
interested in trying to work it out. I have played several games in the
zone, and for the most part it is pretty good. I would need someone who has
some free time to work out the particulars. I have no idea myself, as I
have never tried any online or modem play before. So if one of you who have
some experience would help much. It kind of seems to me that the medium for
internet play is already in place, and at no charge whatsoever. I play in
golf tourneys all the time with great success there, so I think with a
little ingenuity we should be able to do about as good as we can expect
right now, and do it without the large hit on the wallet. Anyone interested
in trying to work it out, go to the zone, download the free software, and
contact me at the address below. If it does't work, we are out nothing but
a little time.

HEllo!

        Yes I have tried the LANzone at the internet *** zone. It works
fairly well. althgough i HAVE found some difficulties. I haven't ever
tried the other online racing groups due to their fees,(I am jsut a poor
man, i cant afford to pay these people just to run a race.)
        When you get into the lanzone you can either host or join a game. The
host controls when you start and the game setups.
        once the game is started a DOS window is opened and you must start your
NASCAR 2 game on your PC. Once started go directly to MULTIPLAYER, and
if you are the host, select NETWORK game, ANSWER, then click the connect
button. if you are not the host go MULTIPLAYER, NETWORK, DIAL, then
connect.
        The host will have the race setup page in front of him so that he can
set things up and start it when everyone is ready.

Here is where i have run into trouble thus far. I can HOST another
player or even 2. but I cannot join another game. I get as far as the
sserver selection page and I lose my connection. Am I doing something
wrong???

        As long as I host everything works quite well, ( although it is fairly
choppy) and everyone is happy. but I want to be able to join other hosts
games as well.

        the service is free, so maybe a few of you all would be kind to us
novices and check this out? maybe let me and others know what we're
doing wrong or even right?
