Make a boot disk by using the setup program that comes with nascar.
Most Dos games offer a way to make a boot disk that automatically sets
up your pc for optimum performance for that game. I am by no means a
computer genius but I would imagine that this is the easiest most
efficient way to solve your problem

Optimizing PC for games?

I have a legal copy of Papyrus' Indycar and IndycarII.  I have been
trying everywhere to get a copy of the Indy500 track addition.
Apparently it has been discontinued and is sold out everywhere.  I was
told by someone at Chips&Bits that there is a copy available on the
internet.  Has anyone seen it?  Do you know the address?

Thanks,
Bill Jensen

Bill,
About 4 weeks ago, when Jed, Gerhard, et al released the *WONDERFUL* utilities
(altho-I still haven't been able to download ICR2NCAR complete)to allow us to
do things us mortals can't even fathom with IMHO Papyrus' GREAT products (to
the point...) I called Papy direct at 1-800-836-1829 and ordered the
"Indianapolis Motor Speedway Expansion Pack" by giving them a Credit Card #,
and hey, I'll come up with the $19.95 + $5.00 s/h (U.S.) later.It arrived THE
NEXT DAY !!. Thank You Papyrus. Good Luck at the Brickyard Bill.
Sincerely,
Wade Tschida

Another great place to get the 500 track is at the Racing Hall of Fame at
the IMS.  It is just across town for us lucky Indy residents.
