Rush Hour

Just tried Rush Hour by Clockwork Games, published by Psygnosis.

Initially a joke, but now I think it's just lame. The graphics are good, a
la NFS2. The tracks are pretty cool (the only good thing about the game,
well that and sliding the cars). Although there is no 3d acceleration, it
runs smoothly high rez, on a 200mmx.

Here's they key part. Your driving view is about 100 feet ABOVE the car.
Hell you can barely see the friggin car. It's wheels are 3 or 4 pixels
wide! You can adjust this view, of course... to about 300 feet above the
car. You can barely see where you are going. The play is ok, sliding the
car around nice tracks, but you can't enjoy the scenery with that idiotic
view.

This is definitely a try before you buy. Some will like it, but it's not
worth 80 bucks (CDN). If they took these tracks with the cars from NFS2,
the graphics from F1, and the play of Motoracer, they'd have one hell of a
game.

EB had RUSH HOUR for $19.95 the day it was released.  I figured something was up
when a new release is only going for $20.  I heard bad things about the PSX
version so I stayed away from both!
