I was watching RPM 2 Night's live broadcast from the new Daytona USA attraction, and
they showed Richard Petty driving on Papyrus' sim.
Well the funny thing was that he was driving on Daytona . Full blown Daytona track .
Did anyone else see this??
What gives?
I guess we know why we'll never have Daytona for our own games.

It was specially made for Daytona USA.
The reason you don't have it in a real game is that Sega owns the rights to the name until
April 97...nothin' will change until that expires. Ed has spoken about this quite often..I
figured I would save Ed a post<G>. :)

So did I. It's there... It was like a dagger in my heart. There's got
to be
a way to make this work for all parties involved. Until then I refuse to
buy SEGA hardware or software until they release their maniacal hold on
that license !
