F!RC Install Problema

Rafe,

I see where you bought F1RC (see below) and didn't like it. I would like to
get F1RC to install on my computer so I can see if I like it. FWIW, the F1RC
demo works fine.

My F1RC crashes on installation with the French error message

"Une erreur inconnve s'est produile lors de l'acces a un fichier nomme' "

Any suggestions for an American with a PIII 450 mhz with SB Live sound card
and a 3dfx 3000 AGP Video card?????
I have updated 3dfx drivers , SoundBlaster Live Drivers, and the new Direct
8.1. This is the first game I have bought based on the demo that WOULDN'T
even INSTALL.

What type of system are you running ??

Any suggestions ?????????????

There is a similar reference on th HG forums. The cause was a dodgy CD or CD
drive.

I don't know if it is possible to try to copy the CD to your HD and install
from there. Hopefully the CD will then be sufficient for the copy protection
or use the nocd exe.

Sounds a bit rough. Are you able to exchange it? Or maybe burn a copy
of it?

I don't think you'd be able to install from your HDD just by copying
it, but maybe if you used those Daemon tool accessories? Just a
guess... :)
