Just got Dave Noonan's excellent ICR2 track converter.
:-)

Headed straight to Laguna - my all time favourite track - and, well,
OK, I knew I'd have to brake sooner and take corners slower than my
years of racing this track in ICR2 .. but the AI just shoot past me.
They obviously don't know that.

Where can I get some of the special stickum they use on their tyres?

Thanks, yes, it does, but what I really wondered is does the AI
cheat?, or ought I really to be able to match their speed through the
corners?

The AI don't drive with the same physics as we humans. It's a much
simpler version, probably with perfect temp and pressures in the tires
etc.

Prove it?  All you have to do is WATCH an AI in a replay.  They make moves that
would be physical impossible in a real car...

Ah, thats what it meant, I though that little cross in the o meant it
was a foreign word, Bravo I thought :-)

I'm sure I've read this some where also, but as EP says, it's really
obvious. An interesting point however, if you've ever picked up
any AI files from Team Friendship site (i.e gplaifiles.zip) you may
note that they include a very basic setup for each car which
"appears" to go in the track folder?

Most Odd.

It IS a foreign word, Norwegian for "try" or "test" actually :-), in
this case it looks like he replied to the previous post as a test,
because "try" makes no sense, in fact, it didn't make much sense at all,
and yes this letter, "?", is a Scandinavian one....

Btw Malcolm, I had a chance to glance through the stuff you sent me
earlier, good stuff there, can't wait to see the finished product :-)

Beers and cheers
