GTR: Drivers wanted for Sundays at 7:30pm Eastern time

by Jason Mond » Wed, 08 Jan 2003 12:28:40

Hi everyone,

I know GTR cannot handle that many drivers, but even 4 or 6 would be
better than the 2 drivers that race now every Sunday at 7:30pm Eastern time.

We race a couple races each day, usually from 10 to 20 laps each race,
that might take a couple hours to run (with practice, qualifying, etc).

Now there are some restrictions to racing.  We need people with xDSL or
cable internet connections AND they should be competitive with the
current 2 drivers turning out.  This will make a pack of 4 or 6 drivers
fun! :)

My current best laps for a few tracks are as follows.  A competitive
driver would be someone that can usually get within 1 second of these
times.  I usually drive the Marcos.

Mugello     - 1:47.xx
Misano      - 1:33.xx
Oshersleben - 1:27.xx
Silverstone - 1:45.xx
Magny-Cours - 1:39.xx
Spa         - 2:17.xx
Laguna      - 1:25.xx

If you're interested in racing, join us in the GTR chatroom using
WinVROC.  Just add a new channel using the "+" button and call it GTR.
If we don't anyone out, I'll post an alternate meeting place.

Thank you,

Hi Jason,
Please put me on your list. I'm had a computer meltdown last week so it may
not be up and ready to run GTR by this weekend, but prob next weekend
(waiting for my vid card RMA).
Thanks,
Steve.

Just a reminder.  If you can't show up this week, you can show up any
other Sunday in the WinVROC GTR chat room.  We've been racing 2 drivers
for the last few years(?!) so I'm sure it'll continue for a while yet ;)

Jason.
