thnx for the server, been using it when i can.

you'd mentioned a password at one time.  any chance of that happening again?

u suk no u yo mama  RESTARTRESTARTRESTART!  and a lot of *&%$$%&&*&.

and yes, i speak fluet symbols.

but if you want it to stay open, cool by me too.  it is your server after
all.

I second that! :-)

BTW, I was all for the restart only because I was black flagged for passing
the #1 position driver at the start (I was #2). Problem was, the #1 driver
was not on the track so I got screwed after sitting through practice,
qualifying and warm up.

ed had been the boss i guess for those reasons he would have restarted, but
with no boss nobody to restart.  i sat that race out til the end and won
it....

how many people does it take to get points for those fiascos?  i had 5 laps
to go before one of those guys got me..... but it was an honest racing
mishap at least.

yeah, when a driver falls out, yr spotter's screaming at you and other
drivers are telling you to get yr a$$ in position.  sometimes it's just
nerve racking.

good racing with you and ed whilst it lasted.

I had sedond thougths during practice... and bailed in the last minute.
And for those who need it...   there is a boss password...  just put "/ras"
in the password line before joing the server...

One thing I did notice and remarked to Rob, was that the server isnt setup
to be truly "open" (It's listed as Dedicated server btw.)  As a boss I could
restart/cancle any session or event - but I could not freely select what
event to run next - whilch is a shame imho..

All that happend was that once I decided to cancle a race/event - the server
would just load the next one on the list automaticlly.  It would be very
nice if we could select events aswell...

RevRob, hey no problem, I am glad to see it get some use.  The cool hardware
its running on was free, and I never use all of my bandwidth (~2.50Mbit/s in
-- ~380Kbit/s out) so as long and roadrunner usage folks don't complain it
should stay up.

Yea I had an access password but it was only getting enough people to make a
race count in the ratings about once every other day.  I changed my mind and
removed the access password and then put in the '/ras' boss password so that
when any of you guys whos judgment I respect, should enter at least you
could feel free to !kick or !ban anyone who flys off the handle.

Keep the comments coming, if you guys can spread the password using
'whisper' to others you know, or anytime you see some clean, fun to dice
back and forth with kind of guy.  Then it would have enough people to use a
password and make my mrtg stats entertaining throughout my day.

Hey DGF!  Make sure to join with '/ras' password for boss privileges and
take care of business.

Ed, as boss you can issue the command:

                !do_not_auto_start_next_race

in the chat window.  Exit your car to the main screen where you see 1/4
screen replay at the top right, and where you click 'garage' etc.  If you've
connected as boss, select back and it will ask if you want to exit the race
(ie back to your server list), say no, then it will ask you, abort event or
equivilent, select ok and if you've given the command above, you will exit
to the track selection screen where you can choose from any of the seven
tracks in the loop I have it in.

Tracks are:

Race0=california
Race1=chicagoland
Race2=indianapolis
Race3=north_carolina
Race4=pocono
Race5=richmond_night
Race6=talladega
Race7=texas

Did'nt know that... Thx Jason!

Now for the natural follow up question - why cant we choose freely what
track/settings to run...?

Reason I ask is that I think some of us like to use it for online pracitcing
for the RASCAR events...   I know at least I do. :-)
It would be so nice to be able to "spec" the server/race so it matches  the
rascar settings (setup/temp/track only thou... yellows isnt not good for
pickup races!)

I'm not sure about this, but dont think that many of us use the server /
boss PW at the moment.. so I dont really see a problem of giving us - "the
bosses" - privliges to choose more freely..

Anyway, like some said... it's your server... I'm merely airing my wishes
:-)
