A Really Stupid Question

ok, guys (and gals),
this question will probably rate number one on the lamer stupidity
scale,,, but I must
ask it, after a short explanation,,, ok,,,I have sometimes been so BORED
outta my head,
that I set up a full length race, with yellows, and pace, and the whole
nine yards,,,
and run one lap and total my car, so I can accelerate time, and more or
less watch a
race unfold...whenever anything unusual happens, I stop it, and go see
the replay,,,,

now I realize, that I have Wayyyyyy too much time on my hands, here, but
I was just
wondering,,, has Anyone ever made, or considered making,,,a patch that
would allow
a full length, simulated race (without T_player, of course) running in
real time,,,
with the Tv camera rolling??? what can I say,,,I just wanted a demo
mode, I guess...
<sigh> oh well, on to bigger and better subjects  :)

psst,,,no flames, please, I'm outta Nomex  ;)

None that I've heard of, but you could in theory replay the whole
enchilada...
64MBs, and running in DOS-mode might get you enough RAM to replay a whole
race.  But you'd still have to drive off the track and accelerate time to
the end before viewing the whole thing.

> Handyman,

> You CAN watch a full length race in real time (more or less) with all
> cameras, etc.

> With your CD in the drive, start up N2, then click Multiplayer.  Click
> on the boxes for Network play and Answer, then click Connect.  Choose
> the track, then click on race.  Start the race, park your car, then hit
> Escape.  Click on replay and watch the race!  The only thing you can't

Not stupid.  Sounds pretty cool to me.  But I don't know how you'd do it.

Let us all know if you find out.
