T22 rebuild

After my first couple of months with the T2, I found it didn't center well
also.
The first step was to spray the nylon shaft with a teflon lubricant.  This
helped
reduce drag and eliminate "*** on a position" off center.  The next
step
was to install 1/2" compression springs over either end of the bungee cord.
The springs should have a higher force for compression than the bungee does
for
equal distant extension.  This allows the compression spring to keep
centering
tension high near the center without over stressing the bungee or
requireing higher
toward the extremes.   A spring of 5/8" would be bettersince it would ride
over the
shoulder of the outer frame.  This would minimise chafing on the bungee.
Give it a try,
doesn't cost much.
