I bought GPL over a year ago.  Had MUCHO trouble getting it to work.  ***
graphics problems, uncontrolable conrtollers, big black bands out of
nowhere, tweed herringbone in the mirrors, etc.  Still, I kept an eye on
this forum and every once in a while saw something to try to get it to work
with my machine and setup.  Install, tweak,  frustration, uninstall.  So, 3
weeks ago I tried instlling it again with all of the patches and fixes that
I had downloaded.  Must have done everything just right cause now IT WORKS.
I added on the Mr. Petersons's carsound patch and Seth's sounds once it
proved to be working (MANY THANKS to Mr. Peterson and Seth).  I am now
***ed to GPL.  I actually ran a race at Monza where I didn't get lapped,
didn't crash, and finished 8th.  Just had to thank all who post here for
keeping me motivated to keep trying to find out what all the fuss was about.
Now I know.  GPL ROCKS!!!

Congrats, life will never be the same again!  Just don't let DGF hear
you talk like that about GPL, he'll call you a cultist. <g>
