I never seem to see the posts with attachments on
alt.binaries.simulators.autos
All I see is replies. What's wrong? I'm using OE5.

If you're going through your ISP's news server, they may be filtering out
the large files, or they may just prune that newsgroup frequently, and
you're missing the original file.  My ISP seems to clean out the binaries
groups daily, for instance.

Sure I would like to help you... if you sent us your new Lotus :)
Imho it's provider-dependent. I've got a dial-up account and a cable
connection. The cable provider gives access to all binary files, while
files are allways not complete when I use my dial-up connection.

A good substitution is www.webusenet.com. You have to pay for that,
but it gives you access to all binarie files. Not worth it if you're
only going to use it for the alt.bin.sim.autos group, but otherwise
it's a very good service. I used it a lot, untill a couple of months
ago when they started to ask money for it...

You may have a setting somewhere that 'filters' attachments as a rule, or just
doesn't show messages that are over a certain length.

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...
