Sorry for my lameness but how do you install the setups for the
different tracks in F1RS? There are a couple sites that posted setups
(thanx guys) for the different tracks but I can't load them.:( I copied
the setups into the UbiSoft\F1rs\saved\settings subdirectory but can't
get them to load while playing. If anyone out there has a clue, then
please post an explanation.

Make it loud so i can hear it too cause i cant load them either!

Could it be that most people cant load them but we are all too
embarised(sp) to say so??<G>

Help us out guys please.

Phoned support this morning, seems 480x640 desktop will not let you load
setups, i changed to 600x800 and all's well here<G>

Hmmm, what does this mean? How do you change from 640x480 to 800x600 in
F1RS? I'm running the 3Dfx version and don't recall seeing the option of
changing resolutions. Anyway, the setups are now loading (yay!) and the
only thing I've done different is patched the game. I don't think that's
what made the setups work but they work and I'm happy. Thanks for the
info.

Well I'm assuming you must be having some sort of problem that just
doesn't show itself on my machine. Having selected a track & gone to the
screen with "garage" showing I just click "load", select the "car setup"
tab and all the setups that are stored in the f1rs/saved/setting
directory are shown - if you only want to see those for a specific track,
just select that track from the box in the lower right hand corner.

Since this is about as intuitive as the F1RS menus get, I assume there
must be a bug stopping you :(

Have you tried getting the patch? There isn't a readme with it so I don't
know what it fixes....

Its the w95 desktop res that stops the load button working, dont ask me
how!!

The support guy mentioned soething about hotspots?? he didnt seem to
know how it worked....it just does, i also had installed the new patch
before this and that didnt fix it for me.

This refers to the Windows 95 desktop resolution (through Control Panel -
Display) as opposed to the resolution of F1RS (limited to 640x480 with a
4Mb 3dfx).
Not tried it though - not had a problem!
