I have to agree with you. This is a DEMO! It can't be perfect, and it never
will. The release will not be perfect. There are to many varied opinions on
what perfect would be. I for one thank Papy for giving this demo to us to try
and have sent them mail saying so. There are things I would like to see in the
release, some of them I hope will be there.
After reading the docs for the demo I didn't have any problems installing
it. I wasn't happy with the fact that the docs said that I couldn't use my
pedals with it but to my surprize I could!!! Wheel and pedals work fine!
Guys, just calm down, take your time and think that this is only a working
DEMO of what I hope to be a great sim. GP2 watch out!

>Well, folks, it seems I need to explain my earlier post to some extent.
>Perhaps I should have waited until I cooled down after reading some of the

  True on both points...

I'll agree with *some* of the stuff you have said (there have been
some boneheads), but a lot of questions have been valid.

One particularly sore point for me is the Pentium requirement.  I
have a DX2/66 and plan to upgrade soon.  However, I didn't *know about*
the Pentium requirement until *after* I had spent several hours DLing
the program and read the README (if you look on my web site, I have
made particular pains to publicize this, so no one else wastes their
time).

And, in practical terms, does "requires a Pentium" literally mean
that it must say "Intel Pentium" on your CPU?  Or that you need that
same level of CPU horsepower, which can be supplied by other chips?
*Papyrus themselves have admitted* that the reason that the Cyrix chips
didn't work (even the faster-than-a-Pentoium-at-the-same-clock-rate 6x86)
was a *bug*.  Glad we've got this worked out now (or so I hope).  I'm
seriously considering a 6x86 and would be mightily pissed to find my
favorite racing games wouldn't work on it.  Even now I have a few
lingering doubts.
