This sport took me through so many emotions yesterday! 20 hours I was
up, being dragged through immense emotional toment! :-)
Started off with the climax of the 1999 F1 World Championship being
decided (a positive result, IMO :) at 4:00 - 7:00, with the pre-race
build up and the post-race joy.
After that, quick 2hr drive to Silverstone to participate in the final
race of my FFord Championship. THAT was the MOST fun I've ever had! I'm
dissapointed I didn't get the result, but you can read all about it at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/!
Then, the drive back home to get all e***d and worked up about the
climax to a quite unbelieveable 1999 CART Series. I was undecided about
who I'd prefer to see win. Alas, it all turned sour with Greg's
accident. I haven't felt quite so bad about this sport since I saw
Martin Donnely lying like in the middle of the track in Jerez'90.
But I'm happy for Fernandez, a great drive from him but Andretti was
surely the man to beat. And I think Montoya really deserves the crown
too. I was also cheered up when I saw Martin Donnerly testing the cars
for the new-for-2000 Lotus Elise championship on Sky Sports today...
