I've recently gotten hooked on Gran Turismo for the Playstation and I
was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on what would be the best
wheel/pedal combo to use.  The gamepad just isn't cutting it!  Also,
what are your favorite cars to drive?  So far, it seems like the Subaru
Impreza WRX Type R is the best handling car I've found.  Got any
suggestions for better handling cars?  Thanks a million.

Actlab's Force RS force feedback wheel ($99) will be out shortly.  It has
I-Force 2.0 for the PC.  It uses a cartridge system which allows it to be
used on a PC or any of the three consoles.  They also have a non force
feedback version for $59

In response to your question, although the force feedback will not work with
the PSX, it still looks to be an excellent wheel.  It even has an F1 style
shifter!  I personally can't wait to try it with Gran Turismo.

I've found the best controller is the dual shock analogue. None of the
steering wheels and pedals that I've used (about 4) are any good. They do
not stiffen up as you turn them towards lock, much like most higher priced
PC ones do, and this makes it very hard to stay straight on the road.
In a game like GT, you'll find that different cars handle well,
depending on your driving style, but I do agree that the WRX is a good one.
Also, the Honda Prelude is a good handler for a front-wheel drive, and the
new Mazda RX-7 for a rear wheel drive.

Thanks for your advice.  Now my favorite car is the 4 wheel drive Celica.
It's decked out and I just can't find any other vehicles to outperform it!
