Hi,
I heard it works great, auto-checks for existing OS's and sees when a
new OS is has been installed.
But I don't use it myself.

What I'm using is the Win95 multi-boot.
For this you must have the following DOS-file's:
  COMMAND.COM  wich will be called COMMAND.DOS when you're in Win95.
  AUTOEXEC.BAT wich will be called AUTOEXEC.DOS when you're in Win95.
  CONFIG.SYS   wich will be called CONFIG.DOS when you're in Win95.
  MSDOS.SYS    wich will be called MSDOS.DOS when you're in Win95.

In the Win95 MSDOS.SYS (while in Windows, otherwise it's the one from
DOS) change the [Options] section to :

BootMulti=1
BootGUI=1
Network=1          (This will already be there, if you have a network-card)
Bootmenu=1
Bootme***fault=1  (or 7 or 8 to make DOS the default, as I have :-) )
Bootme***lay=30   (seconds : 1=min., but keep it over 5 and 30=max.)

Since MSDOS.SYS is by default a read-only systemfile you will have to
change this to be able to change it's contents.

When you're in DOS the Win95-file's will have the following names :
  COMMAND.COM (the Win95 one) will be called COMMAND.W40
  AUTZOEXEC.BAT (  "  )       will be called AUTOEXEC.W40
  CONFIG.SYS    (  "  )       will be called CONFIG.W40
  MSDOS.SYS     (  "  )       will be called MSDOS.W40

Yes, I use it. Being an anti-windows person I had to have it when I got my
new computer. System Commander allows you to have several operating
systems to choose from on your computer. You choose which one to boot when
you turn your machine on. It will only boot one operating system at a time
though. So if you want to run N2 on say DOS 6.22 (the last real DOS
operating system before the crappy windows DOS came out I think) you
cannot run any windows stuff.  If you want to do what you suggest then
you're stuck with the conventional DOS window out of windows95.

I would recommend System Commander to anyone who wants the choice of
operating systems on their computer. It has performed flawlesly since I
installed it, and allows me to completely stay away from that icky
windose95 when I want to.

After installing System Commander - Then you can install DOS 6.22 ???? - In
the past, you could never DOWNGRADE DOS !!! Thanks for your feedback..
Emailed answer would be better for me, if possible.. Thanks

Same here.  It is vantastic.  I have a seperate drive with just DOS/Win311. for
games.  And my primary Windows95 drive for work stuff.  You can of course have
multiple OSs in the same partition as well.

I've been using System Commander for about 6 months now and am very
happy that I have.  I was very apprehensive about upgrading to Win 95
totally, and SC gave me the opportunity to do it without having to
give up my good 'ol trusty DOS 6.22 environment (after purchasing the
necessary hard drive space of course).  Installation is pretty much a
breeze, any problems that I ran into were covered very well by the
documentation, and the ability to keep adding new OS's (NT 4.0 is
next) is just an added bonus.  If you're looking for a software
package of this type, I've not found anything yet that can compete
with System Commander.  Hope this helped a bit.
