Unfortunately, some people will always have fun bashing TEN whatever the
case there is with ignorant quotes and immature "cheap shots", who probably
make themselves feel better.
To go back to the main subject, TEN will not license GPL as one of their
game. They are presently refocusing their company (and doing pretty well)
with the TEN Family Games, PGL and the NROS. There is no plan to add Grand
think this game should be on dedicated servers on the TEN Network, feel free

I find it hard that my FIVE ISP's are to blame somehow!

Every time someone had a problem with TEN, TEN would come back with the
standard response... it's not our fault, it's your ISP. That's why I
said that ;-)

The new dedicated servers have much lower pings (250-400), but the key
seems to be to get good line quality without errors.
If you choose a slower connection speed and turn off error correction
and compression it works much much better.
I've created a new dial-up connection specifically for GPL, using the
"Add new connection" icon in the Dial-up Networking section (under "My
Computer").
Riddle me this. To test the "bad connection" assumption we went back to 1.0
on a "known good" server. And there was Mark again... just as solid as ever.
Somewhere along the line GPL's tolerance for less than optimal connections
was lost. I hope Randy finds it, we all liked racing Mark.

I agree... I've used two ISP's with GPL (Demon, Freeserve) and with GPL
1.0 both of them were perfect.
With 1.1, every race, regardless of which ISP I use, is a disaster.
A few weeks ago we went back to 1.0 for the Champs League race at
Mosport, and suddenly everything was fine again!
