are a few things that bug me (weighed in order):
1) Everithing seems to happen in a kind of slow motion... even when you do a
jump, it seems like you float a little bit. It seems like everything that
happens seems to happen though a sort of slow-motion "damper". This even has
an effect on gravity.
3) The sense of speed (might have something to do with the above point). Might
have something to do with the size of track objects and road lines.... either
way it feels like your doing 100Kmh at most not 250+. More detail in the track
surface and inceaded vibrations might solve the problem.
3) The***pit view. It is a very nice***pit and I know that what most
***pits in racing games look like, but that is not the view you have from the
driving seet. You should not see the roof or much of the A-pilar. Also, the
dashboad should NOT take 30% of the screen. What you really see is just the
top of the wheel (and dashboard) and the bonet of your car.... check out "Scud
Racer" at the arcades to see what a Viper***pit view should look like. Also,
the whole***pit should vibrate like hell!!!... this is a truck 8-liter V10
engine that is as rough as hell. Again, check out "Scud racer" to see what
driving a Viper from the***pit should look like. Because of this I end up
playing from the "bumper" view.
4) Engine volume should be much louder... seems a bit quiet compared to other
things (maybe giving us an option to set the volume for engine, F/X, opponents
could do the trick for everyone)
5) This is not really a gripe, or a problem but I would love a higher polygon
count on the actual "Viper"... the cars look great with their reflections but
a few more polygons. It might be a performance drainer but giving us an option
between a low-poly-count and a hi-poly-count modules in the options would be
great for people who have the processor power.
6) Cut and save option in the replay (like in ICR2) would be great 'cos saving
the whole replay just to look at my slide is tedious.
That's about it. Everything else in the game is excellent. The car handles
well, responds well to all situations that I put it though. Also, the physics
seem to be spot on. I love the AI in the other cars and the ghost is great.
Also, the replays work great and so does the damage models.
Thanks MGI,
