Sportscar GT flashing dash problem

About six laps into a race all the***pit graphics start flashing.
Everything outside is fine.  I've tried lots of variations on the
graphics setting to no avail.  Does anyone know what's causing this?

I'm running it on an AMD 1800+XP on windows XP, with 1/2 gig DDR and
an ATI AIW 7500.

I get it as soon as I enter the car.  I think it has to do with the dash
being thrown into the sim at the last moment.  You can usually stop the
flashing by just hitting the mirror detail key(which is F2 I think)

Same problem here with GF2Ti.  I just hit backspace to see rear view
for a split second and it goes away.

I have the same problem now and then...when I start and sometimes when I get
around too many cars and bump (usually with high detail cars..)..I just hit a
key and it goes away...the 1 key I think...

That has been a staple problem with SCGT.  I don't think it ever was fixed.

The work-around is to just hit the keyboard key for the dash twice.  Once to
turn it off, then back on.  It clears up after that.

Strange that you get it while the race is running, though.  For me it always
was there right at the start, and once I cleared it it never came back.
