I am doing the championship in NL, it's the first time I ever bothered to in
any of the papy sims i own. In every race so far, i've wrecked mid-race and
ended up 42nd. Now Talladega was coming up, and I was all e***d, because
I knew i could make it through. I qualify 10th and begin the race. There
are a few yellow flags and I fly up to 1st. I cant hold my speed through the
turns, because my main concern is not crashing, so I fall back to about
15th. My tires outlast everyone by a couple of laps so I get back up to 1st
place for a while. When I pit I fall to about 24th, and am lapped by the
leader. Then I hear, "Yellow flag is out!" I floor the pedal and beat the
leader to the line, getting my lap back. I am overjoyed at this point.
During the yellow, more cars pit, and I end up in 10th again. On the
restart, I floor it and manage to get to second place. Now there is a whole
mess of leaders and lapped cars, and there are 7 laps left. Oh boy, here we
go. I just cant keep up in the turns so I let them by me, one by one. I
eventually***up real bad and about 10 cars pass me. I'm still not to
concerned, because I havent crashed. White flag, I'm in 19th, and hold off
the guy behind me about 3 times. Checkered flag, 19th place, no damage. I'm
happy with that. I go around the track one lap, pull into the pits and hit
escape. I wait for the status screen to load, and I look over, and the
light to my Zip drive is on. Weird.... I look back to the monitor, and i see
the name of my video card in the DOS font. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY COMPUTER REBOOTED. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!?!?! All I hit was escape. Now
my race has been wiped out. Damnit. Why in the hell did my computer
reboot???
