F12000 Final Suzuka??

by Jenera » Thu, 23 Mar 2000 04:00:00

Has anyone here run into any problems playing the Suzuka track in the Myth
"Final" release of F12000?? All the other tracks work fine but that one
kicks me out of the game before it even starts. I've checked the integrity
of the download and everything seems fine. I'm not sure what might be the
problem?
On a side note, this game is far too CPU intensive. Practice runs fine but
races are choppy on my Celeron 450 , 128MB RAM and Voodoo 3. Most people in
this group seem to be having the same issues so I know it's not my hardware.
The sad part is, aside from the higher polygon count in the AI cars, I don't
notice sufficient improvement in the graphics or AI to warrant that kind of
hardware. Maybe it's just***poor programming. I find it a shame that the
Playstation with its dated hardware can have games like Gran Turismo 2 with
it's excellent 3-D modeled cars and PC's with their kick-ass 3D accelerators
and 500plus CPU speeds can't run a game at a decent frame rate.
