SORRY!

by Axel Skrodz » Mon, 12 Aug 1996 04:00:00

Hello racers !
A few weeks ago, I promised you a track graphics editing tool for use with
IndyCar I, II and NasCar Racing.
I received a lot of mail, and and its still getting more.
I can not answer ALL mails (sorry !), so please, read this:

Programming is (99%) finished (lets call it a gamma release ;-),
but four problems occured:

1) since GP2 is out, I spent a lot of time playing it ;-)
2) My prg runs under DOS (yes, DOS still lives !) and uses a VGA
   resolution of 640 x 480 in 256 color mode.
To support all VGA cards, I decided to make use of a software library,
distributed by an US software firm.
The shareware version I used until now has full functionality but
is for evaluation purpose only. I ordered the registered version 2 month
ago (and Ive already paid for it), but I didnt get any response...
I believe in shareware concept and Im not going to release my program
until I receive the full version of the library.
3) My program supports an automated extract/patch function (one mouse
click, and all graphics are im-/exported) but a script file is
needed (it contains information about position and size of graphics
   in a track.dat file).
Creating these files takes a lot of time...
4) Im working on a documentation...

So please, BE PATIENT !
Thanks, Axel
