F1GP II: more news, and it's good!

There's an article in this months PC Game magazine which helps us to
find out just what hardware F1GP II will need to run at reasonable
speed, and which tells us what new features have been added.

First of all, it seems that the "20FPS on a high-end Pentium" was
refering to the game being played in SVGA mode.  Apparently, it runs
quickly in standard VGA mode with all the texture mapped t***s
switched on, even on a DX2-66 :-)

Secondly, the game will offer the driver extra challenges on higher
levels such as gravel traps and tyre blow-outs (presumably this could
mean that there will be other types of mechanical failure simulated?).
Re-fueling will also be simulated in the game.

Despite the fact I heard the game was to be CD-ROM only, PC Gamer list
it as being PC *and* CD-ROM.
