Since the patch I can't run N2002 without constant lockups.  Not a heat
issue, no OC'ing just lockups at anytime in the game.  It happens in MP,
single in the Sierra chat everywhere.  Never had a system lock w/N2k prior
to this patch 02.  No problems with IL2 either.  I know it's not just me
either right Dave?

Replying to myself, how sad am I?

I went ahead and blew away that partiton and loaded up another image.  The
only difference being Daemon tools and clone CD was installed.  Now for
whatever reason I can get into N2002 just fine w/o lockups.  Cranked the cpu
and video back up to max and all still ok.  I don't think Im going to
re-install Daemon tools to test cause im about burnt on this whole deal.
Couldve been something regarding "analog sound" option.

I guess you figured out what was wrong. I don't think we had the same
problem anyway. Mine freezes for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.
I dropped out of the race early on today because of it.

What 3d rasterizer are you guys using?   I don't have enough time on
the d3d but it seems most of my lockups were with the opengl rasterizer.
I was getting very fast d3d fps at Pocono..(until I wrecked...and blew up
that is...)  :)

I've used both, but have been using opengl since the first patch. Don't
think my probelms are realted to graphics though.

I thought that the patch was causing me to freeze up too, but it ended up
being my power supply. The power supply fan died and it got very very very
hot(burned my hand when I touched it) and was probably getting ready to
explode! N2002 puts a big load on the processor and video card and it was
probably sucking more juice than power supply could handle when it was
running so hot, so the system 'froze'!
